About Me

My photo
Genie
Brackettville, Tx, United States
I take photos, I attempt to get better at it. I cook, and I attempt to get better at that. I have a blog for each of these endeavors. I have Chronic Lyme Disease and can no longer work. I was a massage therapist for almost 20 years. I miss my work and my clients very much. Thankfully, both cooking and photography can be done as I feel like doing it and neither requires more effort than I have to give it on any given day. My husband and I have just begun a grass farming operation on his mother’s land just outside of Brackettville, Texas. A fair portion of my photography is less about art and more about documenting the evolution of our herd and the succession of the property. We’re both excited and scared about this new business. We hope to be organically certified one day, in the meantime, we’re as close to organic as we can get. Our goal is to produce: a delicious and nutritious daily salad bar for our animals; happy cows; happy chickens; and lean, healthy, chemical-free meat for humans.
